Our Purpose

 

The Centre aims to provide not only a haven and learning support to primary and high school girls but also provide basic skills training to the youth and adults (age 18-40) in Jamestown and surrounding farms at their new Green Door Pop up Garden Shop opening in October 2022 with “Visit Stellenbosch Garden town”.

At the Green Door Centre-easily accessible and situated in the main street of Jamestown-with its unique Rainbow Garden and lifestyle of learning approach, they welcome, feed, educate and inspire a small group of 25 girls to dream big and think outside the box, like their slogan states: ‘Today a learner, Tomorrow a leader…Inventor, Designer, Writer, Actor…”If you can dream it, you can do it, is one of the motivations at the Centre.

 

Our vision

The project’s vision is to ensure the development of a safe, healthy and ‘proud of our roots’ Jamestown community through addressing and promoting the importance of Literacy, Numeracy, Creativity and GO Green activities.
